How Is TBI Treated?

  1. First the patient will be evaluated by our on site Neurologist (Dr.Strauss) to triage the injury the patient has from their accident. He will be evaluating thinking, motor function (movement), sensory function, eye movement, coordination, and reflexes

  2. Based on the findings is whether the patient has a severe or mild injury. The patient will be referred to certain specialties based on the severity of the injury. IE: Physical Therapy, Imaging tests (if not already been administered) IMPACT testing, Pain Management, Orthopedic Physician, Occupational Therapy and/or Neurosurgeon.

  3. Based on what type and the severity of the injury is going to have an effect on the recovery time. Our case manager will always be in communication with the care team and/or the law firm to keep everyone informed on the progress of the patient.
